What you do matters!

There are so many ways to help Academy Schools achieve its goals. Gifts of time, talent and treasure help sustain that which students and their families have come to expect: Education the way it should be.

There is no more powerful a team than a school and its parents working together for the good of the children. Volunteering allows parents, family members, alumni, past parents and everyone who seeks to get involved, the opportunity to really get to know the school: who the faculty and staff are, why Academy Schools does what it does, and how the mission of the school is carried out. It also is a great way to meet others in the community, enhancing personal friendships and professional connections. More importantly, volunteering expresses an interest in and commitment to the student’s scholastic experience. Whether spending time in the classroom or on a field trip, sitting on a committee, working on the Auction or helping with a special event, volunteers are essential to the success of Academy Schools, its faculty and staff, and, most importantly, the students.

“I am a parent and have been a volunteer at Children’s Academy for seven years. I am a former special education teacher and have never seen a more cohesive group of teachers, parents and volunteers at a school. The children are respectful and courteous. Field trips received complements on how well-mannered the students were. Students moved between classes in a quiet and orderly manner with a teacher always present. There is no tolerance for bullies or any ‘ism’. It is a wonderful place for children to blossom.”
