MS Science (Bhagirath)

This month, we have been learning about fossils, minerals, and rocks. We have studied the Geologic Time Scale, which is a timeline that is divided into the Era’s on this Earth. Also we have learned about minerals and rocks, including vocabulary words based on the section. This month we also shared our thoughts on articles from the magazine, Popular Science. During that period, we focused on our studies upon black holes, new technologies, and even some sea corals. We are also going to visit the Burke Museum.

Earlier this month, we shared our thoughts and wrote letters to the Presidents of India and Pakistan on the topic of nuclear weapons and about the fight over the area Kashmir. After we finished our letters we shared our letters with the whole class. Also this month we have been working on urbanizations. Our biggest project this month was our Urban City project. We all did different cities and presented them through PowerPoints. Right now, our current assignment in Social Studies is about predicting and making concept cars that use renewable energy. For example, your car may run on solar energy to save resources or it may be fully electric.

Then we will have a picnic lunch at Seattle Center, after that we will head out to the Burke.
